Beach Love

With the coming of summer comes my absolute obsession with the beach. If I could lie every single day with sand in my hair and collect sea shells I swear, life would still be perfect.
Last week, I went to my parents house in Connecticut. The beaches in our sea shore town are small, but  in a quaint and familiar way. Our neighborhoods are communities that really revolve around the water, docks, boats, sand, etc. The main beach in both my parent's neighborhood is the closest one in all of our town, therefore very crowded. Sometimes, a girl just wants peace and quiet. During my visit, I went on the search for the perfect getaway nook. A place where I could read and tan without being found. I stumbled on "The Meadow."
A nature trail where the grass is as tall as I am, and not a sound from the outside world can be heard. I felt like I had fallen down the rabbit hole, but instead to a peaceful place where I could get lost in my thoughts and smell nothing but flowers and grass.

Lo and behold, on my walk through the meadow, I found none other than a tiny, private, unoccupied beach.

Well, unoccupied except for a couple seagulls.

For the first time, I am actually patiently awaiting my next trip home.
